This Website is a mainly pictorial record of the many and varied Heritage Railways (both Standard & Narrow Gauge), Steam Centres and Industrial Railways in the UK which have developed since the 1950's. The photographs used are mainly from the Authors own collection unless shown otherwise.  Most of the Railways and Centres listed are run by dedicated bands of enthusiastic volunteers who aim to keep the age of steam railways alive and prevent it from fading from memory and for the benefit of current and future generations. Hats off to them.
